We have observed that quite a number of persons have joined our list since the first time we started the quiz and may not be very conversant with our rules of engagement, so please find reproduced here our Rules of Engagement

DR. JERRY OGUZIE FOUNDATION AND TRUST – JOFAT –

WEEKLY GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUIZ

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

1.         Quiz shall be posted by 0600 hours on a TUESDAY

2.         Answers would be expected to come in before 1200 hours of SAME DAY

3.         This shall be on weekly basis

4.         For a particular month, all participants would be expected to participate in the quiz for that month, starting from the first quiz.

5.         No participant shall be allowed to participate mid way (that means if a participant did not participate in the first quiz of the month, then s/he has to wait for the quiz of the first week of the next month)

6.         The persons who supplied the correct answer for each quiz session (on the basis of first seen, first accepted) shall be announced on THURSDAY

7.         In the circumstance that more persons get the correct answer, then the first 3 persons whose answers came in first, second and third as shall be judged from the time of submission, shall be the ones to be declared as having submitted the correct answer to a particular quiz.

8.         The 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place winners shall be announced after the last quiz of the month

9.         Participants are requested to be sincere and truthful in their participation, and to let the answers come from what they know rather than what google knows.

10.       Any participant who is found to have cheated shall be sanctioned appropriately

11.       1st place winner shall be entitled to a gift of N5000.00; 2nd place winner shall be entitled to a gift of N3000.00 while the 3rd place winner shall be entitled to a gift of N2000.00. All as cash prizes. Where there is a tie in the places, the sum shall be appropriately shared amongst the tie holders.

12.      This is a social service taken up by the Foundation at its own expense and so the Foundation reserves the right to continue or discontinue the service and cannot be taken to task over any of such decisions. The Foundation shall also not be accountable to any one except as the Directors may choose on issues bordering on this social service including the sourcing of questions and the answers adjudged correct.

All participants would be expected to be friends of the Foundation.
